late afternoon pastimes

Tic-tac-toe, anybody?
Name this mystery objet d'art

I wish I could follow you to the shores of freedom...

***
A note from W.S., c. 1980:
But while we are confined to books, though the most select and classic, and read only particular written languages, which are themselves but dialects and provincial, we are in danger of forgetting the language which all things and events speak without metaphor, which alone is copious and standard.

....Will you be a reader, a student merely, or a seer?....

P.S. These are best read and forgotten (quickly) now while the heat of learning is yet searing. When I read them last year I tried to become a seer & neglected "studies."

If it's sunny you may want to bring your tennis racket & balls. Time & will permitting, we could play some.
